We often minimize the impact our relationships have on our mental health, how easily work stress can follow you home, how life can throw us into situations that make us question our choices, or even how boredom can be our biggest trigger! A series of “ah ha” moments led me to being a therapist. We need help navigating life because it's LIFE
! A nonstop challenge.
I began my journey at Texas Tech University as a double major in psychology and social work. This is where I gravitated toward the fundamentals of social work. I loved the idea of not just examining the “problem”, but looking at the entirety of the person. Societal factors, career choices, spiritual background, strengths, coping patterns, and so much more impact our current circumstances. I valued this holistic approach and went to The University of Texas at Arlington to receive my masters in Social Work.
I use a variety of techniques/therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, play therapy, strength based, Gottman’s methods, and much more.
I value the therapeutic relationship and hope to work along side you to build the life you desire.
